What is a fu—ing topic studied by fu—ing sociologists?
Seriously, how the fuck. Just how even am I supposed to just fu—ing come up with one?
No. Google didn’t help me.
Walking. Yep, walking. Google Harold Garfinkel and Harvey Sacks, and find out how we walk without bumping into each other. We take it for granted, but we are unaware of how much we actually “think” about it. It’s just that the “thinking” happens really, really fast.
Here’s the Wikis for them: you’ll have to look up “walking” yourself, and then go from there.
It also covers talking and being understood, and all the things people do with one another that they never think they think about! It’s a cool thing, this type of micro-sociology. Garfinkel even developed a series of “pranks” or ways of punking people, to make his points about what we take for granted to get along with each at the most basic levels.
With all this, poor Harvey apparently hit a truck in the hills of L.A. and got killed while a young man. :(
On God and Integrity
I will be posting quite a bit of photography here. Documentary style photos of people, places and objects. And a place to add a “p.s.” to whatever I’m doing.
And there it is. Tired tonight. More work to do. http://strangerinmyownhometown.blogspot.com/
Busy day. Showing off my new Elvis in American History blog at work. I’m so vain, I probably thought it was about me.
Made sure the screen was on.
